Prime Time Zone Spokesperson, Adilabad: The latest controversy is over the new collectorate lands in Nirmal district. A public interest litigation has already been filed in the High Court alleging that the area where the new collectorate will be built falls under the Green Zone in the master plan. With this, the BJP is worried that they are working in defiance of the High Court orders to stop the work immediately. They have already handed over the petition to the Collector. While building a new collectorate at a cost of Rs 50 crore, Rs 14 crore has already been spent. With the latest controversy reaching the High Court .. the structure of the Collectorate is in doubt.
As part of the redistricting on October 11, 2015, the joint Adilabad district was divided into four districts. As part of this, Nirmal district was newly formed. Since the formation of the new district, the Collectorate has been functioning in the Ardeo office. In the absence of permanent buildings .. continue in it. A new collectorate building complex is being constructed in the suburb of Ellapalli near Nirmal. It was supposed to be built on about 25 acres .. Ten acres were taken away as some land came under FTL due to the presence of a pond next door. With this, the present Collectorate building complex is being constructed on an area of about 15 acres. The estimated cost for this is Rs 50 crore. Nagarjuna Construction Company will get the work done .. Construction work is going on from 2018. The target is to complete the work by December this year.
Ignore orders ..
The latest controversy is over the land on which the new collectorate will be built. Some have recently filed a public interest litigation in the high court alleging that these lands fall under the Green Zone under the Nirmal Urban Master Plan. Survey No. 422 is currently being constructed by the new Collectorate. As per the master plan, no construction should be undertaken as this survey number is within the Green Zone. According to the survey number, only parks and playgrounds will be allowed to be set up. No construction or building work will be allowed in the green zone. Orders were issued to stop construction work on the site immediately. The BJP has objected that construction work is going on even after the High Court orders.
To increase land demand
Recently, BJP leaders handed over a petition to Collector Musharraf Ali Farooqi seeking suspension of works in Survey No. 422 near Kocheruvu. That this collectorate structure is of no use to the public. BJP leaders say hundreds of acres of adjoining land are being built to boost demand. In addition to stopping constructions within the green zone .. they are also demanding not to do registrations. They are disobeying the orders of the High Court. They are saying that if the construction work is not stopped, the construction work will be stopped under the auspices of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Warns that the Collector’s office will be raided soon. While officials say the work will be completed by December, the BJP is demanding that the work be halted as per the High Court orders.
