Modi Government: It is a known fact that the Central Government has introduced various schemes to benefit the poor and the elderly and to provide financial assistance to them.
Shram Yogi Man Dhan (PM-SYM), Prime Minister of India
Under the scheme, workers working in the unorganized sector will be given a minimum pension of Rs 3,000 per month after the age of 60. About 45 lakh people across the country have registered their names so far.
Workers between the ages of 18-40 are eligible for the scheme. Their monthly salary should be less than Rs.15,000. The scheme is run by the Central Government through the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), so LIC also pays the pension.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Man-Dhan Yojana (PM-SYM) scheme, deposits can range from Rs 55 to Rs 200 per month. Of this, those over 18 will have to pay Rs 55 per month and those over 30 will have to pay Rs 100. Also, those over 40 have to pay Rs 200 per month. They all have to deposit money until they reach 60 years of age.
The Prime Minister should contact the Common Service Center (CSC Center) for registration in the Shramayogi Mandhan Pension Scheme. They need to take their Aadhaar card and bank account passbook with them.
After opening an account under PM-SYM, the worker is given a Shram Yogi card. For more information about the scheme, please contact the helpline number 1800-267-6888.
