AP Local Body Elections: Polling for the second phase of panchayat elections in Andhra Pradesh was held today. However, an interesting incident took place in Krishna district of the state during this election. Polling was also held for Korukallu village in Kalidindi zone as part of the second phase of panchayat elections. Leela Kanakadurga, who contested as the Sarpanch candidate in this village, gave birth to a fruitful baby girl shortly after exercising her vote. Her family is happy that the baby girl was born.
Leela Kanakadurga is pregnant by the time the election schedule is released. Meanwhile, with the release of the election schedule, the village sarpanch filed its nomination as a candidate. While polling was decided in the second phase for the village where she is contesting .. She participated in the election campaign from her pregnancy. With today’s polling, Leelakanakadurga came to the polling station to cast her vote. As soon as she came out of the polling station to cast her vote, she started having headaches. Her family members rushed her to Kaikaloor Government Hospital. Doctors delivered .. gave birth to a fruitful girl. However, Leelakanakadurga said that she was lucky to have a baby girl on the day she contested as Sarpanchi and cast her vote. She expressed confidence that she would win the elections.
