Temporary tariff will be applied instead of PPA for wind power and solar power generation. AP ERC Chairman Justice CV Nagarjunareddy disclosed the details regarding the tariff. Nagarjuna Reddy, however, said that the free electricity provided to the castes would cost Rs 1,657 crore a year, but the free electricity provided to the castes would continue.

He said the government has agreed to pay Rs 7,297 crore for free electricity to farmers. However, he said home users would no longer have the minimum charges and it would be enough to pay Rs 10 per kilowatt in lieu of charges. Nagarjuna Reddy said that even function halls will no longer have fixed charges. Aqua and poultry sectors have been included in the category of industries.
