Prime Time Zone, Crime Bureau: According to local officials, all the victims of the Visakhapatnam bus accident were from Sheikh Pet Sitanagar in Hyderabad. Departed from Sitanagar at around 4 am on the 10th of this month to visit various places including Visakhapatnam. They are all family members of five siblings with the Kottam family name. While there were four reunions on the trip, one did not go for personal reasons. Tragedy struck their family as all four members who died in the accident also belonged to the same family.
Upon learning of the incident, the district collector directed his staff to go to the victim’s family as per the directions of state government CS Somesh Kumar. Details of the trip were collected from family members in a similar order. Jubileehills MLA Maganti Gopinath, who came to know the information, visited the family members. Comforted them and said courage. As soon as the family members told them to go to Visakhapatnam, MLA Gopinath booked tickets for their 5 am flight on Saturday morning. Meanwhile, Collector, Secunderabad, Ardeo Vasanthakumari and Sheikh Peta Tehsildar Srinivas Reddy will also leave for Vizag at 5 am on Saturday as per government directions.
