That’s a new perspective on ATM crime. The assailant brutally attacked a woman with a knife while she was going to draw cash at an ATM in broad daylight. Requested to leave but did not relent. Although she lost consciousness due to severe injuries, fortunately the victim survived at that time.
Name Jyoti, an employee of Tano Bank. The robbery took place on November 19, 2013 at an ATM in the heart of Bangalore. The assailant saw the woman alone in the ATM and broke in. Shutter lowered without a chance to escape. Attacked with a knife on the resisting torch. The incident took place at around 6.30 am when a woman named Jyoti went to an ATM to draw money for her daughter’s birthday.
Police eventually identified the culprit based on CC footage. Kondappagiri Madhukarreddy of Divupalli village in Chittoor district was arrested for the crime. The charges against the accused have been proved under sections 397 and 201 of the IPC. Bangalore 64th City Civil Sessions Court is going to sentence the accused.
