Bharat Bandh News: Farmers and trade unions have called for a full-fledged ‘Bharat Bandh’ against the privatization of the Visakhapatnam steel plant in protest of agricultural laws. The bandh will continue from 6 am to 6 pm, the All India Kisan Morcha said. While the roads will be closed during this bandh .. all public transport will be closed. It was also decided to close markets, malls, shopping malls and densely populated areas. Bank services are also likely to be disrupted. The central labor, employment and student unions have expressed full support for the bandh. Senior farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal clarified that all ambulances and emergency health services were exempted.
Farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal said the bandh was called after four months of protests by farmers across the Delhi, Ghazipur, Singh and Tikri borders against the new agricultural laws. Farmers are protesting on railway tracks in several areas. Meanwhile, several political parties, including the Congress, YCP, TDP, CPM, CPI, Samajwadi Party and AAP, have expressed support for the bandh. With this the effect of this bandh is likely to fall on the commoners in many states.
Jagan Sarkar supports Bharat Bandh
Jagan Sarkar expressed solidarity with the Bharat Bandh undertaken by the farmers’ unions and Vizag steel plant workers. Against this backdrop, government offices and RTC buses in Andhra Pradesh will be closed till 1 pm. Emergency services will continue as usual. AP state information and transport minister Perni Nani said the bandh should be held peacefully without causing any inconvenience to the people.

Respecting the donors and appealing for full support for the bandh
It is learned that the All India United Kisan Morcha today called for an Indian bandh against the Center. This will freeze public transport across the country for 12 hours. Balbir Singh Rajewal, a senior farmer leader, said that all the citizens of the country should respect the donors and make the Bharat Bandh a complete success.
