The BJP is mainly focused on the forthcoming assembly elections in Bengal. Prime Minister Modi will address a huge public meeting on March 7 at the Brigade Parade Ground. The party aims to mobilize 10 lakh people for this assembly. Party president JP Nadda will visit Kolkata tomorrow to review with the state BJP leaders on the people and other arrangements to be mobilized for the Modi sabha. Huge screens, posters and cutouts will also be set up in the city. It seems that BJP activists will be wrapping up the campaign for the house from Thursday. Also they will go to 294 assembly constituencies with lead box and collect resolution letters containing public ideas so that the party leaders know how the mood of the people is.
The BJP also plans to hold more than 1,500 election rallies in the state. Apart from Modi, Union ministers, chief ministers of BJP-ruled states, ministers and members of the party’s national executive will also attend the meeting, a senior leader said. He said five rallies would be held daily in each assembly constituency. The state assembly elections are scheduled for April-May. The BJP has already conducted 5 transformation trips in Bengal.
