In this backdrop, BMC officials are on high alert as the number of Kovid cases is on the rise in Mumbai, which has previously become a corona hotspot. Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal said the Brihanmumbai Corporation would deploy 300 marshals to increase surveillance on masked passengers on local trains.
In addition to these, it has been revealed that some more marshals will also be set up in the city of Mumbai. The marshals will also have a target every day. They will keep a watchful eye on those who violate the rules. Iqbal Singh said he would be fined Rs 200 for not wearing a mask in public. People are warned to wear masks and follow physical distance, otherwise strict action will be taken. He also suggested that permission be sought for good deeds and public gatherings.
