President stated that he has images of three ‘unbelievable’ moments; according to him, the data were provided by the Superior Electoral Court itself
The president Jair Bolsonaro (No party) stated this Monday, 26, that it will carry out a live broadcast on Thursday, 29, at 7:00 pm, to present evidence of fraud in the face-to-face elections of recent years. The Chief Executive did not detail whether the documents refer to the 2014 election, in which he states that Aécio Neves won Dilma Rousseff in the second round, or about the 2018 election, in which he was elected president of the Republic. According to Bolsonaro, he would have won in the first round, but there was fraud so that he could compete in the second round against Fernando Haddad, candidate of the PT. The president said that the live should take place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. “We are going to expose all the issues that lead us to have a democratic election next year. There are three unbelievable moments that we will show with photographs of data provided by the TSE itself (Superior Electoral Court). Although there is still more data that has not been delivered to us. We will soon conclude that, because the work is not easy”, claimed Bolsonaro in a conversation with supporters on the way out of Palácio da Alvorada.
“Now you can obviously demonstrate even by the way that, for example, the Minister Barroso is positioning itself. There’s something weird. He could say: ‘President, do you want the democratic auditable vote on paper? Knife’. Why is he against it? I don’t want to accuse him of anything, it’s just that no one can understand why he’s against it”, argued the president. Bolsonaro added that parliamentarians, ministers of the Supreme Federal Court and presidents of the three branches are open to criticism. For him, despite people claiming that criticism is a way of attacking democracy, there is only one way to guarantee that Brazilian democracy is in fact preserved. “These are auditable votes, paper votes next to the electronic ballot box. It is the democratic vote”, concluded the president in defense of the auditable printed vote.
