Judge Pushpa Virendra Ganediwala: Bombay High Court Nagpur Bench Judge Justice Pushpa Ganediwala .. The Central Judiciary has recently issued a notification extending the tenure of Justice Pushpa for another year at the same level. The term of office of an additional judge is usually two years. He will then be promoted to permanent judge. Justice Pushpa completed his two-year term as Additional Judge this Friday. But keeping her in the same position .. the center has recently issued orders extending her tenure for another year.
In fact Justice Puspa was previously recommended by the Supreme Court as a permanent judge of the Bombay High Court. The two verdicts handed down by Puspa in the sexual harassment cases last month in this order have been hotly contested. With this, the Supreme Court withdrew its recommendation and said that she should continue as an additional judge for another two years. However, after considering the recommendations of the Supreme Court, the Central Government decided to extend her tenure by one year.
