Some kidnappers are trapping young people online, throwing drug nets at them, recording nude videos, blackmailing and amassing money. Srikanth, a young man from Navipet zone, is studying hotel management at Kshatriya Hotel Management in Hyderabad.

Recently he got a phone call from an unidentified young woman. The introduction of that phone call went somewhat tangled up to video calls. With this, they started making nude chats with each other. The young woman recorded videos of Srikanth being naked. After that he started threatening the young man along with his gang members. She wanted millions of rupees and threatened to post nude videos on social media if not given. He said that he did not have that much money and sent the 24 thousand in his account to the account mentioned by the young woman, but the young woman did not show any mercy. She demanded a large amount of money.

Unable to tell his parents what he had done wrong, Srikanth went home on the 27th of this month and committed suicide by drinking insecticide at his farm. The young man, who had been receiving treatment at the hospital for the past three days, died on Wednesday. Police have registered a case over the incident and are investigating.
