Joe Biden, a leading immigration advocacy group representing Indian Americans, has asked the government not to issue new H-1B visas to Indians.

Joe Biden so h1 visa : The U.S. government has begun work on a new immigration policy. Seeks to allow skilled foreigners into the US. Joe Biden, a leading immigration advocacy group representing Indian Americans, has called on the government not to issue new H-1B visas to Indians. It said H-1B work visas were not issued to Indians until the ambiguity over the country-cap on green cards was resolved.

As the number of Indians already waiting for greencards is huge .. The issue will be further complicated if new visas are issued again. US President Joe Biden has submitted a petition to this effect. This year, another 60,000 new Indians are expected to get visas, which will make them have to wait longer for greencards. The request was made by the Indian Immigration Advocacy following the recent announcement by the Biden administration that H-1B visas would be issued by lottery this year as well.

The Biden government has already announced that applications for H-1B visas will be available from March 9 for the year 2022. Biden suggested that the process of issuing citizenship to 11 million unregistered immigrants in the U.S. be completed quickly. This will allow more foreign students and employees to enter the US.

Companies such as Alphabet Inc., Google, Apple Inc., and Facebook Inc. have been pushing for years to increase the number of tech employees allowed into the US. He said they need engineers from countries like India because there are not enough skilled Americans. But efforts to expand the workforce through H-1B visas are being thwarted by unions and immigration opponents. He argued that companies ignored US talent to hire foreigners with lower salaries.

Aman Kapoor, president of Immigration Voice, said the decision by the Biden team would allow 60,000 Indians to apply for visas this year. He noted that the decision by the Biden government would only benefit incompetent employees, immigration lawyers and others with the processing of immigrant visas.

However, Aman Kapoor opined that it would be better not to issue new visas to Indians until the national restriction on green cards is lifted. If new visas are issued again .. Indians who have been waiting for greencards for a long time will go back many more years. The superpower issues 85,000 new H-1B visas each year. About 70 per cent of these visas (about 60 lakh) are issued to Indian workers, according to the Immigration Advocacy Group.
