Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being silent on foodgrains concerns over farmer laws. Rahul said that if all the pop stars were talking about this concern, he would not respond. He took part in a tractor rally in Wayanad, his parliamentary constituency in Kerala, on Monday to protest agricultural laws. He drove the tractor for a distance of 6 km from Thirikkipattai to an area called Tuttil. He said that he had mentioned the slogan “Hum Do, Hamare Do” in Parliament, which means two from the government and two from outside the government. Rahul said the four were leading the Indian agricultural sector and their aim was to get farmers to sell their grain to them.
Assembly elections will be held in Kerala soon. It is noteworthy that the ruling UDF and the Congress-led UDF are also critical of the new farmer laws.
