Covid Vaccine: Corona vaccination continues in the country. Vaccinations are given without any interruption. However, so far no vaccinations have been given to those over 50 years of age. Efforts are underway to vaccinate them as well. The central government is arranging to give free corona vaccine to 27 crore people over the age of 50. Plans are afoot to vaccinate them in mid-March. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet Chief Ministers this month to discuss the matter. The center is likely to decide whether to vaccinate the elderly based on the instructions and advice they give. According to central government sources, the target is to vaccinate 27 crore people over the age of 50 by July. It seems that Modi will hold a meeting with the chief ministers on how much the central government is spending for the vaccine and how much the states should pay.
Authorities say the central government has already agreed to bear the entire cost of the vaccine purchase. However, the Center has suggested that transport and storage costs should be borne by the state governments. After the meeting of Prime Minister Modi, a national team of experts took a final decision on the vaccine administration for Kovid-19. In a recent budget tabled in Parliament, the health ministry said the Center could provide two doses of free vaccines to 46 crore people out of the Rs 35,000 crore allocated for vaccinations.
