Among the proposals are to reduce the unemployment rate in the city from 14.7% to 8% and expand the Family Health program
Nearly 100 targets and an investment perspective of R$14 billion. This is the new strategic plan in the city of Rio de Janeiro released this Thursday, 15, by the mayor Eduardo Pais. In all, 93 goals were established to be met by the end of the term. Paes also foresees, over the next few years, investments in the city of Rio de Janeiro in the order of R$ 14 billion, an attempt to promote a kind of turnaround in the city. Eduardo Paes himself speaks of this daring strategic plan for the city for the next few years. “It is possible, yes, to repair the house, tidy up the house, make the investments, provide the services properly. And with the economic model we already have. We created a culture of always charging the population, the governments are always demanding, justifying their incompetence and inability to deliver services based on low income and excessive expenditure.” Among the 93 goals outlined by the Eduardo Paes government, some stand out – and we are all hoping that they will be achieved. It is an example of the reduction in the rate of unemployment in the city from 14.7% to 8%. And, also, expand the Family Health program to 70% of the population of Rio de Janeiro, which has more than six million inhabitants. Another goal is to promote a reforestation program in the city.
