The former governor of Paraná Roberto Requião announced that he will leave the Brazilian Democratic Movement (MDB) this Monday, 2. He called the party “Bolsonarist”, “racist” and said it has become “physiological”. “I always believed in what Gramsci said: ‘There is no such thing as an absolute bastard’. The absolute bastard is a figure of literature. After the MDB convention in Paraná, I will review this belief!”, he wrote in a post on Twitter. This Saturday, the results of the preliminary elections for the party’s state leadership ended with the victory of state deputy Antonio Anibelli Neto and federal deputy Sérgio Souza. With that, Neto assumes command of the party in the State. After the announcement of the winners, Requião published a video saying that “they are trying to sell the party” and that they launched a ticket to support little mouse. “The mouse and Bolsonaro kidnapped the MDB. The party is over!” wrote the congressman.
