The same is gradually making changes in its services, ready to accommodate additional services. As part of this, the Guntur-Kachiguda-Guntur special express train will be re-launched from April 1, railway officials said.
The express train, which was halted due to a corona lockdown, is being brought back on track. The train will leave Guntur at 7 pm on April 1 and reach Kachiguda at 9.45 am via Narasaraopet, Vinukonda, Markapuram, Giddaluru, Nandyala, Don, Kurnool City, Jogulamba Gadwala, Vanaparthi Road, Mahabubnagar, Jadcharla and Shadnagar. The train will leave Kachiguda at 3.10 pm on April 2 and reach Guntur at 6.45 am via Shadnagar, Jadcharla, Mahabubnagar, Vanaparthi Road, Jogulamba Gadwala, Kurnool City, Don, Nandyala, Giddaluru, Markapuram, Vinukonda and Narasaraopet.
No matter how many expressways are arriving, most people in the country are waiting for the arrival of passenger trains. The Railways has clarified that there is no such thing as a mid-April campaign. Said it would bring the trains back in stages. However, the Indian Railways is yet to say when the passenger trains will be launched. Also, 65 per cent of trains across the country are currently available to passengers.
