Indian Navy is seeking applications for the Technical Branch (Naval Constructor) course for the Short Service Commission (SSC). The courses will be launched in June 2021 at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ejimala in Kerala.
The Short Service Commission was extended from 4 years to ten years. The notification said that the candidates had taken into consideration the service requirements, performance, details of vacancies in the posts and medical eligibility. Interviews for these courses will be conducted in Bhopal, Bangalore, Visakhapatnam and Kolkata. 800 candidates will be selected for these. The last date to apply for these posts is February 18. They will start from next month (March 21).
Shortlisted candidates will be informed about this through their e-mail or SMS to the selected candidates for SSC interview. The Navy said candidates should not change their e-mail / mobile number until the selection process is over. The SSB interview will take place over five days, including two phase exams. The first phase involves intelligence testing, picture perception and group discussion tests. The second stage consists of a psychological test, group task tests and interviews. Candidates who failed in the first phase will not be allowed to be selected in the second phase examination, the notification said.
