IPL 2021 Auction: IPL 2021 Mini Auction is in full swing. The franchises have bought the first player in the auction, which is being held in Chennai. Former Australia captain Steve Smith, who has been representing the Rajasthan Royals for the past few seasons, has been acquired by Delhi Capitals for Rs. Bought for Rs 2.20 crore. First, Bangalore Royal Challengers will focus on Steve Smith, while Delhi Capitals will bid Rs. 2.20 crores. This makes Steve Smith the first-selling player in this year’s auction song. Australia ODI captain Aaron Finch was not sold in the first set.
Meanwhile, 164 Indian players and 125 foreign cricketers will be testing their luck in this year’s mini auction. Only two domestic players got a place in the minimum price list of Rs 2 crore, while eight foreign players were named. There are 61 vacancies in all the teams together. The highest number of vacancies is in the Bangalore team with 13, followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad with three vacancies.
