IPL 2021 Auction: The field is ready for the IPL 2021 mega auction. The IPL 2021 mini action will be held today in Chennai in a biobubble environment. Although this year’s IPL action was supposed to be grand .. it was not possible due to Corona. In this context, the BCCI is conducting a mini auction for franchises. The BCCI has already released the list of cricketers for the auction. While 1,114 players are enrolled in this list .. a total of 292 are eligible. The list includes 164 Indian players and 125 foreign cricketers.
The names of five top cricketers are heard across the IPL 2021 mega action ఆ theme. The franchises seem to have targeted Australian players Steve Smith, Maxwell, Aaron Finch, England player David Malan and Afghan cricketer Mujibur Rahman. There is a debate going on throughout about them in the wake of the action.
Maxwell: Maxwell, who made his debut in the 2014 IPL, was instrumental in helping Punjab reach the final for the first time. The huge hitter, who has raised over Rs 10 crore every time he goes to auction, has not excelled in the IPL for years. Last year, Punjab bought him for Rs 10.75 crore, but he played 13 matches and scored 108 runs. In this order, he played destructively in the recent T20 and ODI series against Team India. Again, he turned the eyes of the franchise.
Steve Smith: Rajasthan Royals left Steve Smith behind last year due to poor performance and handed over the reins to Sanju Samson. Smith, who has played 95 matches so far, has scored 2,333 runs. Smith, who received Rs 12.5 crore in 2020, played 14 matches and scored only 311 runs. In this sequence, he got excited in the match against Team India and again became a hot topic in the IPL.
David Malan: David Malan is currently the number one player in the T20s. All the franchises are focused on Malan, who has made his mark as a devastating batsman. Information that franchisees are looking to pay huge sums for being an allrounder.
Aaron Finch: Aussie captain Aaron Finch, who has changed eight franchises so far, has not been able to excel in recent times. With the recent run flood in this order all the franchises have been eyeing Finch. Finch, who played for Bangalore last year, played 12 matches and scored 268 runs.
Mujibur Rahman: Mujibur Rahman has been making inroads in all formats since he made his debut for Afghanistan. Being an all-rounder is a craze in the IPL. Rehman, who played for Punjab last year, did not get much of a chance in the team. Key franchises are currently looking to seize.
