Lalu, who has already been granted bail in three of the four cases related to the cattle feed scam case, is expected to get bail in the Dumka Treasury case as well. However, the trial court today refused.
During Lalu’s tenure as Bihar chief minister, Rs. 3.13 crore was allegedly involved in illegal withdrawal. The CBI sent Lalu to jail. The case against him has been pending for the last few years. The CBI had filed a joint affidavit and Lalu ‘s judicial custody in the case in December last year. Recently, Lalu was shifted from Rims Hospital in Ranchi to Delhi Aims due to deteriorating health condition and is currently receiving treatment there.
