Largest bench in the House, PT will have the 2nd Secretariat; impasse was generated after Arthur Lira annulled the formation of Rossi Whale block in his first act as Mayor
After an impasse generated by the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), which annulled the block formed by Baleia Rossi (MDB-SP), party leaders reached an agreement on the composition of the Board of Directors of the House. The voting session, which was scheduled for 6 pm on Tuesday, 3, was postponed to 10 am on this Wednesday, 3.
The first vice-presidency will remain with the PL, whose candidate is federal deputy Marco Ramos (PL-AM). The second presidency will be of the PSD, which indicated André de Paula (PSD-PE). The first change took place at the 1st Secretariat. Considering the Baleia Rossi block (MDB-SP) granted by Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), the post would be occupied by the PT, owner of the largest bank in the House. Now, the vacancy was with the PSL, second largest bank. The leaders also reached consensus on the nominated name.
On Monday, there was an internal dispute between Luciano Bivar (PE), the party’s national president, and federal deputy Major Vitor Hugo (GO), a member of the Bolsonarist wing. With the agreement made by the leaders, the 1st Secretariat will stay with Bivar. The PT, in turn, will occupy the 2nd Secretary, with Marília Arraes (PT-PE). Deputy Marcelo Nilo (PSB-BA) was nominated for the 3rd Secretariat. The 4th Secretariat will be occupied by Congresswoman Rosangela Gomes (Republicanos-RJ). Supplements will remain with PDT, DEM, PSC and PV. Parties have until 8 pm to formalize nominations.
