Prime Time Zone, Web Desk: A huge fire broke out at a Rohingya refugee camp in Cox Banjara, Bangladesh. Fifteen people were burnt alive in the accident and 400 are unaccounted for. The United Nations said 560 people were seriously injured. Authorities say four hospitals and six health centers were burnt in the crash. But no clear statement has yet been made regarding the deaths.
However, officials said it was the biggest accident since the Rohingya emigrated from Myanmar. More than 10,000 houses were set on fire in the camp, which is home to about 45,000 people. Johannes van der Klau, a spokesman for the UN refugee agency in Bangladesh, said the risk was high because all the houses were made of bamboo.
