The Minister Alexandre de Moraes, the Supreme Federal Court (STF), requested, this Tuesday, 23, a new manifestation of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) on crimes committed by the federal deputy Daniel Silveira (PSL-RJ) after his arrest before considering the parliamentarian’s request for provisional release. Silveira was arrested on Tuesday, 16, after the publication of a video with attacks on STF ministers, especially the minister Edson Fachin, and in support of Institutional Act nº 5 (AI-5), more repressive of the Military Dictatorship.
In the order, Minister Alexandre de Moraes affirms that “the occurrence of several supervening facts to the offering of the complaint can generate reflexes in the criminal procedural instruction, making necessary a new hearing of the Attorney General’s Office, which should manifest itself in the records, including in relation to to the request for provisional release ”.
Moraes cited new attacks by Daniel Silveira after his arrest, the posture of the parliamentarian before the examination of the body of crime at the Instituto Médico Legal (IML), when he defied a police officer for disagreeing with the use of a mask, and the apprehension of two cell phones in the cell where the deputy was at the Federal Police (PF) Superintendence, in Rio de Janeiro.
