MP Rahul Gandhi: Wayanad MP and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has commented that Kerala politics is new. Accustomed to northern politics, he commented that Kerala seemed new to him. He spoke on local politics at a meeting organized in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday. On this occasion he shared his experiences in Kerala with the people there.
“I have been an MP in the North for 15 years. After that I chose Kerala and came here. It felt very new to me when I got here. In fact the renaissance had in me. The politics here, the people are in the forefront. Not only do people ask about problems, they have a lot of awareness on them. I shared the same thing with my friends in America. I told them that going to Kerala made me very happy. It’s not just a political concept. I was very impressed with that maturity in your politics. I am learning from them and I am inspired, ”said Rahul.
For the first 15 yrs, I was an MP in north. I had got used to a different type of politics. Rahul Gandhi won as an MP from Wayanad in Kerala. However, elections to the Kerala Assembly will be held in a few days.
