She likes to read. She is the mother of a school girl from a poor background. The life of that chitty mother, who wanted to get a big job and take good care of her uncles, ended at the age of 15. Yashaswini, a fifth-grader at Ravindra Bharathi School in Neredimet, committed suicide by hanging herself from a fan at home after being harassed by school staff for a fee. Successful going to school every day as school starts after lockdown. The school management told the student’s father and Yashaswini to pay the entire fee.

Hariprasad’s father, Yashaswini, told the school management that he was in financial trouble due to the stoppage of work due to the corona. The girl committed suicide after being severely disturbed by the school staff for telling her not to come to school without paying the fees. Student groups have raised concerns in front of the parents’ school that action should be taken against the school owner responsible for the child’s death.

Local MLA Mainampalli Hanmant Rao approached the school and laid siege to Daggarundi school. He assured that the government would continue to support the family of the child. On the one hand, the MLA was incensed that private schools were being looted if parents were having trouble with employment or parents with lockdowns. MLA Hanmant Rao called Minister KTR and asked him to take steps to waive this year’s fee so that such incidents are not repeated.
