The “open house” modality, which allows for the vaccination of first doses for people without an appointment who have not been infected in the last six months, is now available for those aged 40 and over.
The information was advanced by task force responsible for vaccination this Wednesday in a note sent to the media.
To be vaccinated, users must go to the vaccination centerthe one associated with the health center where they are registered, at the specific times of the respective center for this modality.
The opening hours of the “open house” can be consulted on the page of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) about the modality.
The “open house” modality has been available, until now, for people aged 45 years and over, and aims to ensure that all eligible people are called to the vaccination process.
This modality “allows to ensure that all eligible people are called to the vaccination process”, recalled the task force.
Portugal already has 42% of the population fully immunized against covid-19, having been progressively extending the vaccination campaign to younger age groups.
