Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay alleged that 40 poor tribals in the Gurrampodu gang in the Suryapeta district’s Mathapalli mandal were jailed by the police using third degree. Sanjay Mandi also said that BJP workers were being locked out of their houses and remanded. He said police led by IG Prabhakar Rao were harassing BJP workers and would lodge a complaint with the Union Home Ministry. Bandi Sanjay warned IG that our government was coming to Telangana.
Meanwhile, arrests of activists continue amid clashes between BJP activists and police as part of the BJP’s tribal assurance campaign in Gurrampodu Tanda. It is learned that police have already registered cases against 21 leaders, including district BJP president Bobba Bhagyareddy. Recently, non-bailable (NB) cases were registered against BJP state leaders and tribals, including BJP state president Bandisanjay and MLA Raghunandan Rao.
Police have registered cases under sections 143, 144, 147, 148, 332, 333 r / w 149 of the IPC and Section 7 (1) (a) of the Criminal Law Amendment Act 1932. BJP activists from Hyderabad, Nallagonda, Suryapeta, Karimnagar and Mahabubnagar districts have been identified and cases are being registered based on video footage and photos.
