The document was cited by President Bolsonaro to question the possible over-reporting of deaths by Covid-19. “With my cordial greetings, I request your good assistance in promoting the opening of a police inquiry to investigate possible criminal offenses committed by the Federal Auditor for External Control of this Court Alexandre Figueiredo Costa Silva Marques”, wrote Arraes in an official letter addressed to the Director -General of the Federal Police Department, Paulo Maiurino. Alexandre Figueiredo Costa Silva Marques was removed for 60 days, by decision of the president of the TCU. She responded to a request made by the magistrate of the court, Bruno Dantas, who also asked the Federal Police to open an investigation to investigate the case. On Thursday, the 17th, the auditor will be heard by the CPI to Covid-19 no Federal Senate.
