In a note, the party president, Luciano Bivar, informed that ‘all the legal measures applicable’ for the permanent removal of the parliamentarian
The President of the Social Liberal Party (PSL), the deputy Luciano Bivar, affirmed, this Wednesday, 17, that the National Executive of the legend is taking “all the appropriate measures” for the expulsion of the deputy Daniel Silveira (PSL-RJ), who was arrested on Tuesday night, 16, at his home in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, after decision of the Minister of Supreme Federal Court, Alexandre de Moraes. The arrest was decreed after Silveira published a video on her social networks making attacks, cursing and swearing at the STF ministers, especially the minister Edson Fachin, who criticized military interference in the judiciary.
“The PSL strongly repudiates the attacks made by deputy Daniel Silveira on ministers of the Supreme Court, vilely offending their honor, as well as making strong criticisms of the institution as a whole,” says the note signed by Bivar. According to the document, Silveira’s attacks, especially the way they were carried out, are “unacceptable”. The caption points out that attitudes of this nature cannot be confused with freedom of expression. The PSL defended the Supreme, affirming that the institution is the guardian of the Federal Constitution and one of the pillars of the Democratic Rule of Law and that it will never “give up defending this institutional foundation”. The note ends with Bivar informing that the PSL “is taking all the legal measures necessary for the permanent removal of the deputy from party cadres”.
