The Public Security Police (PSP) will report to the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) the insults uttered on Saturday against the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Ferro Rodrigues, by a group of covid-19 deniers, told the agency this Monday Portuguese source of that police.
The PSP did not add more information about the case, just saying that it will file a complaint with the MP about the facts that took place on Saturday, when a group of protesters surrounded the restaurant where the president of the Assembly of the Republic was having lunch with his wife. and addressed him various insults.
According to a video shared on social networks, Ferro Rodrigues was having lunch with his wife, while dozens of protesters insulted him, calling the President of the Assembly of the Republic de “killer” and “ordinary”.
The insults continued when Ferro Rodrigues and his wife left the restaurant and headed for their car, accompanied by the personal security body of the President of the Assembly of the Republic.
One of the protesters, megaphone in hand, threatened the restaurant where the couple was, promising that “no more customers of this restaurant will have peace”.
The insults were from a dozen covid-19 deniers who protested in front of the parliament with the motto “For our children – Towards Freedom”.
