Snakes dig their own tunnels and live underground, said Dr Sadasivayya, a zoology lecturer at the Government Degree College of Snake Protection Jadars.
Snake Special Officer Sathasivayya said the snake was specially researched and identified as one of the rarest species. It is said to be about 25 cm long and live in land burials. Explained that they go out only at night for food.
