The Brazilian Rebeca Andrade shone in the artistic gymnastics qualifiers, this Sunday, and ended the day with the second highest score among all the competitors in the Tokyo Games, only behind the American Simone Biles, considered the greatest in the sport of all times.

With a total of 57,399 points, Rebeca was guaranteed in the final of the general individual event and will also dispute medals in two apparatuses, the jump and the ground. Biles, who advanced to all the finals by apparatus, led the qualifying with 57,731 points.

Another Brazilian in action, Flávia Saraiva advanced to the end of the crossbar, but was forced to give up trying for a place in the general individual and in the other apparatuses after suffering an injury during her performance on the ground.
