PC Chacko, who was active as a senior Congress leader, resigned from the Congress party on March 10. He accused the Congress of ‘complete failure’ across the country. He said he had resigned from all the posts and submitted to party president Sonia Gandhi. He alleged that Congress did not select candidates based on their ability to win the upcoming Assembly elections. He said the Congress party was divided into two factions (A&I) in the state and asked the party high command to protect those who did not belong to these two factions. He said that the Congress high command did not respond to this and that is why the Congress party left and joined the NCP.
