Swami Vivekananda: Swami Vivekananda means .. The most famous is the Chicago speech. But, how many people know that he preached in our fortunes before that Chicago speech? Yes, it is true .. Swami Vivekananda visited Hyderabad from 10th to 17th February 1893 before leaving for Chicago, USA. As part of the visit, Swami Vivekananda addressed a gathering on February 13 at Mahabub College, Secunderabad titled ‘My Mission to the West’. However, a special function was organized on Saturday under the auspices of ‘Ramakrishna Math’ at Mahabub College in Secunderabad to honor Vivekananda’s visit. On this occasion, wreaths were laid at the Swami Vivekananda Hall of Mahabub College to pay homage to his idol.
Swami Bodhamayananda, Director, Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, who participated in the program, said that the teachings of Swami Vivekananda are still applicable today. Before Vivekananda left for Chicago, an English speech delivered on the same day in 1893 in Hyderabad instilled confidence in Swamiji himself. His speech in front of a thousand dignitaries inspired many. In his speech titled ‘Mission to the West’ today, Bodhamayananda recalled that Swamiji had said that the US was going to spread India’s supremacy.
Although Swami Vivekananda is currently conducting a week-long tour of the Ramakrishna Math, Bodhamayananda said that in fact it should be done by the government. Swamiji introduced the Indian spiritual spirit to the world at a conference of interfaith delegates on the Universal Forum in Chicago. Bodhamayananda said that he firmly believed that India must attain the position of Vishwaguru and attain the state of supreme glory by worshiping Mother India for fifty years after abandoning other deities after independence.
