Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has expressed helplessness over the hike in petrol and diesel prices. He commented that the burden of the patrol was too much for him, but that he could not do it alone. She spoke at a special panel discussion hosted by the Chennai Citizens Forum on Saturday. She reminded that the decision was taken by the state-owned oil companies.
