Violence erupted during the Chalo Secretariat program organized by BJP Yuva Morcha ABVP activists. Protesters tried to storm the Secretariat in Trivandrum to protest the results of the Public Service Commission. Tensions erupted as police hurled stones and sticks at the protesters. Lathicharj protesters, police said. Yuva Morcha activists were beheaded in the baton charge.
The agitators tried to move forward though. Rushed to remove the barricades. Police used batons and water cannons to control the situation. A scuffle broke out between the police and Yuva Morcha activists. Four Yuva Morcha activists were seriously injured in the lathicharge. Secretary of State Vishnu was also injured in the clash. Several protesters were arrested.
Along with the BJP, all the opposition parties are alleging serious irregularities in the recruitment process by the government in the state. However, the government did not respond .. The parties are calling for such concern. Leaders of the ruling parties are accusing their party workers of filling government jobs. They are incensed that he is acting in this way out of fear of losing the coming elections.
