It seems that O Clarity has now come to terms with the lack of conclusive evidence on those matters. The inscription was found in a temple in Tumkur district of Karnataka. According to the inscription, Krishnadevaraya breathed his last on October 17,1529. A bus driver named Dhanpal first spotted it and informed the archeological authorities. The researchers found the inscription on a black stone in the Gopalakrishna temple in Honnenahalli village. This inscription engraved in Tulu language is the message of his death.

Experts from the Directorate of Epigraphy have announced that the exact date of Krishnadevaraya’s death has been revealed. Krishnadevarayalu’s younger brother Achyuta Devarayalu was crowned the fourth king of the Tulua dynasty on October 21, 1529. An inscription to this effect was previously found at Sri Kalahasti in Andhra Pradesh. However, it was widely believed that Sri Krishnadevaraya would die a few days earlier. But .. the exact date was not available then. All the details came to light in the recently released Shanasam.
