Those who took the first dose will start giving the second dose from Saturday after completing the 28-day period, Public Health Director Srinivasa Rao said. The director said the first dose would be given to government health care staff, which would continue until the 22nd of this month, after which it would be given to private health care staff. The company that gave the first dose of the vaccine will also give the second dose. Some of those who took the first dose reported severe, serious side effects, and were not given the second dose. To this end, a circular has been issued to all district medical officers. Those who took the first dose were told to come to the vaccine centers according to that date and time as messages had already gone to their mobile phones on when to take the second dose.

Frontline Warriors identified 2,56,895 people and as of Friday evening only 84,340 had been vaccinated. The director said three of those vaccinated across the state had died and it had been confirmed that the vaccine was not the cause of their deaths.
