The epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) indicates that Portugal registered, in the last 24 hours, 874 new cases of covid-19. Tuesday’s report also reports two more deaths due to infection with the new coronavirus.
There is now 504 inpatients, 113 of which in intensive care units, ie one more than on Monday. With regard to hospitalization, 32 fewer are hospitalized.
Portugal currently has 25944 active cases of the disease, 22 less than 24 hours ago.
The DGS bulletin also states that there are more 894 recovered disease and 1086 fewer people under surveillance.
The two deaths recorded are from the region of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, which continues to have the highest number of new infections, in this case more 317.
The northern region is the second most penalized with 273 new cases, followed by the central region with 140. In Alentejo 57 new cases were registered and in the Algarve 18.
