Ramagundam: A road accident occurred in Peddapalli district on Tuesday morning. Two traders from Guntur district who were carrying gold jewelery worth crores of rupees were killed in the accident. New Srinivas and new Rambabu gold traders from Narasaraopet. Gold is sold in gold shops in different parts of Telangana. They were on their way to Telangana with gold jewelery when their car overturned on the Ramagundam Rajiv Road at the corner of Malayalapally.

Srinivas and Rambabu lost their lives on the spot in the incident. Santosh Kumar, who was in the car, was seriously injured. They were rushed to Karimnagar Hospital. He was believed to have gold jewelery worth crores of rupees at the time of the accident. The 108 personnel who reached the spot immediately after the accident found the jewelery and handed it over to Ramagundam SI Shailaja.
