Issuance of orders suspending the enforcement of laws
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has given a big shock to the central government. Issued orders halting the implementation of new agricultural laws that have become the most talked about in recent times. The Supreme Court issued interim orders following a lengthy debate on Tuesday.
The Supreme Court has imposed a stay on the implementation of the new agricultural laws. The tribunal stated that the stay would continue until further orders were given.
However, it announced that it was setting up a committee to hold comprehensive discussions on farmer laws. The petitions filed challenging the three agricultural laws recently brought by the central government were heard in the Supreme Court on Tuesday afternoon.
There have been lengthy controversies. The bench, headed by Chief Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde, said they were trying to resolve the farmer’s issues in accordance with their rights.
Supreme Court Chief Justice Bobde said suspending the law and setting up a committee was one of its powers.
The tribunal said the verdict was based on issues such as the legality of agricultural laws and the protection of lives and property due to protests across the country.
