Hyderabad: In the wake of the election of two graduate MLC seats in Telangana, Minister KTR held a meeting with the party leaders and public representatives under GHMC. The meeting is being held at Telangana Bhavan. KTR is directing his party leaders on the strategy to be followed in the MLC elections in the Hyderabad-Aurangareddy Mahabubnagar graduate constituency. Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, city mayors and other leaders from the three districts shared their views. Vanidevi, daughter of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, is contesting as the TRS candidate for the MLC seat.
Telangana Chief Minister and TRS chief KCR has already made it clear that ministers and MLAs should take the responsibility of winning over Vani Devi. It seems that KTR is also likely to campaign in the graduate MLC elections. Ramachandra Rao, the sitting BJP candidate, and former MLC Nageshwar are the independent candidates in this election. Many parties, including the Left and the Telangana Tribal Association, have already publicly declared their support for him.
Chinnareddy is contesting from Congress and L Ramana from TDP. Apart from these, independent candidates filed large-scale nominations. It is a known fact that in the recent GHMC elections TRS .. lost many seats as compared to the past. Moreover, there is dissatisfaction among the state employees over the PRC report and dissatisfaction among the youth with the non-issuance of job notifications. Opposition and independent candidates want to seize this opportunity.
