Vaccine Sputnik V: Corona vaccine ‘Sputnik V’ is being sought for emergency use in India based in Hyderabad.
Vaccine Sputnik V: Hyderabad-based leading pharmaceutical company Dr Reddy’s is all set to apply to the Pharmaceutical Regulatory Authority of India (DCGI) for permission to use the corona vaccine ‘Sputnik V’ for emergency use in India. This was revealed by Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories on Friday. Dr Reddy’s said the Russian-made Sputnik V vaccine had already completed all human trials and had shown good results. The ‘Sputnik V’ vaccine is 91.6 percent effective, according to a recent Lancet Journal article. In this context, government sources say that the ‘Sputnik V’ vaccine is likely to get approval from the Drug Administration of India in a few days. However, Sputnik V will be the third vaccine to be used against the corona in India if it becomes available.
