Varavara Rao Bail: Boredom leader Varavararao’s release line cleared. He was granted interim bail by the Nagpur Bench of the Mumbai High Court in the 2016 Surjagarh Mines vehicle burning case. The court said Varavarao was granted bail due to ill health. On December 25, 2016, 80 vehicles belonging to Surjaghar Mines were torched by the Naxals in Etapalli taluka of Gadchiroli. Varavarao is facing charges in the case. However, the Bombay High Court on Monday granted him six months’ interim bail in the Bima Koregaon case. Even in the case of fresh burning of vehicles, the way was paved for Varavarao to be released on bail. He is currently being treated at Nanavati Hospital and is likely to be discharged depending on his health condition.
