The Railways is playing a key role in transporting millions of people across the country to their destinations. Each railway station in the country is unique. The uniqueness of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Maharashtra has earned the station Gold certification. The railway station is run by the Central Railway. According to the ratings given by the Confederation of India Industry, it is the first railway station in Maharashtra to get Gold certification. These railway stations have many specialties. Facilitating passengers in all respects, the station has been able to obtain Gold certification due to its many specialties.
Specialties of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus
Charging points have been set up in the parking lot of vehicles. Steps are being taken to increase the use of electric vehicles.
About 15 per cent of the total station has trees, small parks and locks. However, all of these are being grown organically.
The station is equipped with 100% LEDs.
Special arrangements have been made at the railway station for ‘senior’ citizens and the disabled.
BL BLDC, HVLS fans are equipped everywhere.
Most of the sensors were used in the various offices and waiting halls in the station.
Machines have been set up to clean the elevators, platforms, station area, tracks, roof tops, parking area, waiting hall, shutters and others.
Only biodegradable, eco-friendly chemicals are used for cleaning at the station.
A total of 245 kilowatts of solar panels have been installed at the station.

There are also advertisements at railway stations warning people not to use plastic bags that are harmful to the environment.
