Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the people of West Bengal are hoping for change and that the real Bengal they hope for will be possible only with the BJP. He said the creation of infrastructure in the state was the first duty of the BJP government. During his second visit to Bengal, where elections are to be held, the Prime Minister lashed out at the Trinamool Congress government. The Prime Minister addressed the people at an event in Hooghly. He alleged that the TMC in Bengal would not be able to develop for as long as it was in power and that corruption, syndicate rule and exploitation in the name of taxes would continue till then. He said the Trinamool government was making optimistic compromises to maintain its vote bank, adding that development would bring benefits to all if the BJP came to power. He said that would give legitimacy to the politics of complacency. He said that the people of Bengal had made the decision for change and that the Sisal Bengal they dreamed of was possible only with the BJP. He said the TMC government was on its knees to prevent the welfare benefits of the schemes introduced by the Center from reaching the people of the state.
