Nizamabad district is famous for its yellow crop. Currently, the yellow farmer in the district is happy. The price of turmeric has been rising day by day for ten days at the Nizamabad Agricultural Market. The latest is that the Quinta was priced at 7,878 on Friday.
Farmers from Nizamabad, Jagittala and Nirmal districts brought 22,750 bags of turmeric to the market on Friday. The price of yellow is said to be over 2 thousand this year more than last year. The price has rebounded in the market since the beginning of this month. However, farmers say the rise in the price of turmeric is due to a decline in production.
Farmers have reduced yellow cultivation this time around due to the fall in prices last year. Crop yields declined due to heavy rains. Farmers say the price of turmeric is rising due to rising demand in other countries as well. However, farmers say the yellow crop is in danger of deteriorating further in the coming days if they are not given a fair discount and a yellow board is set up. Governments are still responding and want to set up a yellow board in their district.
