The city police of Coolidge, no Arizona, arrested a 19-year-old man who pretended to be kidnapped to miss work. According to local authorities, Brandon Soules was found near a water tank tied and with a bandana on his mouth. Brandon told police he was kidnapped by two hooded men in the early hours of February 10. They reportedly put the victim in a car and knocked him unconscious before leaving him beside the water tank. Authorities investigated the case and found no evidence that the kidnapping had taken place. The assault hypothesis was also ruled out. According to local news outlets, police said security videos that could prove the crime actually showed that there were no signs that Brandon’s story was true. Brandon was arrested for lying to the police on February 17 and confessed that he made up the story so he wouldn’t go to work.
